The perfect blend of Chinese and English, coupled with the complementary elements of Western jazz and Eastern pop, makes this album a unique "hybrid" masterpiece that combines Chinese and Western styles.
Born in Guiyang, Guizhou Province, Bai Xue embarked on her journey with dreams at the age of sixteen, constantly falling and getting up on her way to pursue education and employment. In 2012, she arrived in Switzerland and now resides in Zurich, Switzerland. Having experienced different cultural influences from both the East and the West, Bai Xue exhibits a characteristic of inclusivity and openness in her music creation and performance.
Bai Xue has loved music since childhood, and this passion transformed into a strong desire when she was twenty years old. In the most difficult moments, Bai Xue used music to heal her self-inflicted wounds. With her persistent pursuit of music, Bai Xue has also achieved many impressive achievements: she won the gold medal in the Youth International Singing Competition in 2010; she won the Best Talent Award for Newcomers in Hong Kong in 2011; and in 2015, she participated in the Swiss Talent Show and was approved by all the judges, thus starting her music creation journey in Switzerland.
Bai Xue excels in creating crossover music, dedicated to merging Chinese cultural concepts with Western musical elements. When talking about the album "Angel's Voice", Bai Xue feels quite proud, as all 12 songs on this album were composed and written by herself. However, she believes that the creation of "Angel's Voice" is not only due to her own efforts, but also inseparable from the support of her mentor, Mr. David, a pianist with extremely high musical attainments, whom she met in 2013. Bai Xue said that it was a rare fate to meet her mentor David, and it was due to David's encouragement and help that she began composing and writing lyrics for the album "Angel's Voice" in 2013. Then, in 2014, accompanied by several famous Swiss musicians, she recorded the original song album "Angel's Voice". Three of the songs were fortunately accepted by Swiss radio stations Srf2 and Srf3. Whenever she walks on the street and hears her own songs being played on the radio, she feels very grateful! What makes Bai Xue even more pleased is that her song "The Soul of the Tiger" was used as an insert song in the French film "LAME Du Tigre" in 2015.
Bai Xue's songs exhibit a diverse range of styles: pop, jazz, rock, and even a fusion of Chinese and Western elements! Each genre possesses distinct characteristics. Her original album "Angel's Voice" showcases vivid imagery, lyrics with a fresh artistic conception, and music that seamlessly integrates Eastern and Western musical elements. Bai Xue's versatile style vividly expresses her longing and loneliness in a foreign land. Music lovers can discover her jazz, rock, pop, R&B, and other fusion tunes in "Angel's Voice". The refreshing and refined music blends Eastern and Western elements, earning her the admiration of Swiss celebrities and music producers. When German folk singers Cora and Frost first heard "Angel's Voice", they exclaimed, "It's so beautiful, it makes you feel relaxed, as if the air itself has frozen. It's amazing!" Bai Xue's songs have also garnered the favor of Zurich Radio, repeatedly being recommended for airplay and receiving enthusiastic responses.
